Unity Project

Advanced Photography Final Exam

 Final Exam

1. Robert Capa was the famous photographer that stormed Normandy with the soldiers. Only 12 photos survived.

2. Robert Capa's brother, Cornell Capa wanted to continue his brothers legacy and founded the International fund for Concerned Photography in 1966.

3. Henri Cartier-Bresson  says that the head, heart, and eye has to be aligned for a photograph to be successful.

4. Tyra DiFrancisco's (Wix)

I chose this for my portfolio because i believe these are not only my best pictures but my favorite throughout the year. I used Mr.Web's picture as my first one because it's one of my favorites and it was an unexpected picture. i was't expecting him to pose like he did and putting it in b lack and white just really set the mood of the picture.

Your Portrait - A Picture of You

I had a fun time taking these pictures. It was awkward at first not knowing the people before taking the pictures, but as i got to know them and warmed up to them it became a fun project and a new experience. If i mixed up a picture i apologize, but my pictures were lost and these were the only ones i was able to obtain.

Semester FInal Exam

Tyra DiFrancisco's Blog

My Favorite Post
This is my favorite post because we got to take pictures of our selfs better know as a "Selfie". It was awkward at first because we were new to the member in our groups and we had to take pictures of our selves right next to them. As we got used to it we began having fun with it ad we took silly pictures and laughed as a group. Also we got to have fun with all the different effects making the assignment even more fun.

This is my favorite picture of the semester. This picture was not purposely taking but we was just taking test shots and happened to catch Lynette walking. In this picture the sun light was perfectly reflected causing you to look at her face even as she is looking away. We also caught the big P on the bleachers that also catches your eye as you look at the full picture. When editing this picture, I cropped it to take out the excess stuff not needed and i enhanced the lighting to make it a little more clear.

This is another one of my favorite pictures of the semester because i think it was just one of my best pictures overall. When taking this picture we was using the Rule of Thirds and we had a fun time as a group taking pictures with this rule. I just like how the picture came out and how the light was perfectly reflected. With the background being somewhat blurry, it makes Maria stand out so you immediately look at her. Also it kind of was an off guard picture because our teacher Mr.Farley was talking to her as it was being taken and i happened to catch her smiling with it being perfectly aligned and clear.
Advantages of Working in a Group
  • We all incorporate our ideas to get the job done and/or create a project.
  • It makes bigger projects a lot easier with more than one person.
  • It a lot more fun working in a group then by yourself.

Disadvantages of Working in a Group
  • We have to share cameras.
  • Not all of our ideas are the same so we have to compromise.
  • Not everyone in the groups are paying attention so you have to get them on task.

The phrase from Life Magazines Founder is "Photo

Henri Cartier-Bresson lived by the quote, "Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. Mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick." - he lived by this quote in order for his pictures to be good.

Before

After

The project that would interest is for our group to chose whatever we want to take a picture. Also another fun thing would be maybe sign up for a sport event to go take picture of as a group to get more of an experience.

I think the Mr.Farley has a "Hecka Free Zone" because maybe he does not like the word and it is not an actually word but just a common phrase that grown to become popular.

1st Semester - FInal Project

My Top Favorite Pictures

This Picture was taking of Maria standing next to the Pittsburg Gate.
This is Me, Tyra standing next to the Pittsburg gate.

Maria took this picture of Lynette, Taylor and I standing in between the Pirate sign.

This Picture shows our group's interest in make-up.

This Picture was taken by Lynette which captured me standing in front of the Giant P bleachers.

This picture was an off guard picture taken of Lynette.

This picture is of Taylor and I squatting at the end f the Pittsburg letters n the track.

When my group and I decided to take pictures at the football stadium we instantly started coming up with ideas of where we wanted to take it and how we wanted to. when we first went to the stadium it was really cold and we was afraid of the weather not being the same when it came time to take the pictures. The following day when we went the weather was perfect and it was more then enough light for us to take the pictures how we wanted. When we took them we used Space to get the person eyes to catch what is around us but not distract them. we also took pictures from lower angles and form afar to include the words and things we wanted in or pictures. In every picture we included something that showed we was at the Pittsburg Football Stadium. I chose the first and second pictures because I liked how the space was used to create the image used above. I chose the third picture because I liked how Maria captured us standing between the Pirate letters on the wall and how we was all standing in the same pose. I chose the fourth picture because we got to show our interest in make up by taking an up close picture of Maria's makeup and the light reflected off it made it even better. I chose the fifth picture because I like how the captured me next to the P on the bleachers it was another use of space. I chose the sixth picture because I like how we captured Lynette off guard and it created the rule of thirds and turned out as a good picture. The light reflected off her perfectly. I chose the last picture because I like the angle the picture was taken in and the lighting was good.
